Student wellbeing

Most Cambridge Colleges have a Nurse available to students and you can find out more about this service and how to contact them in the College Support section of this website.

Pharmacies (also known as Chemists) play a key role in providing healthcare in the UK. Pharmacists or Chemists are experts in medicines and use their clinical expertise together with their practical knowledge to advise people on common minor ailments such as coughs, colds, aches and pains, diarrhoea, headaches, travel advice and quitting smoking.  You don’t need to make an appointment to see a pharmacist, you can just turn up and ask at the counter to speak to them. A pharmacist can also help you decide whether you need to seek more urgent or specialist advice if you are not sure.  You can find your nearest pharmacy by searching here.  This page will give you the opening times for all pharmacies in the area.

You can also dial 111 in the UK to speak to the non-urgent health service phone line for advice.
